POSITION TITLE: SPECIAL EDUCATION TEST COORDINATOR
LOCATION: SPECIAL EDUCATION DAY TREATMENT FACILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS: SPECIAL EDUCATION CERTIFICATION OR ELIGIBLE FOR ALP IN SPECIAL EDUCATION
REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL EDUCATION
JOB GOAL: Coordinate testing of all students within a Day Treatment facility as required by State and District mandates. Collect pertinent data and prepare reports as required by the State, coordinate and provide training for teachers and provide test-related data to site and District administration as needed.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Coordinate State, Federal, and District-mandated testing with related departments within the school.
2. Facilitate the administration of testing; including the acquisition of testing materials and provide school-based training regarding procedures for testing.
3. Receive, inspect, count, number, and distribute testing materials; package tests and prepare communications for staff for each test administration and distribute to appropriate administrators according to established schedules; compose, type and distribute reports and other correspondence related to the testing process.
4. Assure tests are prepared for processing, online and paper format, and assure required information is complete and accurate; obtain and complete missing information; coordinate with Director of Counseling to resolve errors, questions, and other issues.
5. Inspect testing materials and maintain the security of testing materials, related data, and confidential student information.
6. Attend training at the District level to keep current with compliance and State regulation issues for State mandated testing.
7. Monitor and report testing compliance issues to the Principal and Director of Counseling.
8. Act as liaison for the school’s Testing Office and Director of Counseling related to the collection, maintenance, and distribution of mandated tests.
9. Serve as liaison for the Testing Office on duties related to the completion of required reports as needed to meet District, State, and Federal requirements.
10. Participate in job-related professional development and training.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Salary Range: $40.00 PER HOUR (FLAT RATE)
INSURANCE ELIGIBLE: NO
EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated according to provisions of the Board's policy on the Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
