CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT LEAD
Hourly payrate $31.26 per hour.
Duties and Responsibilities of the Continuous Improvement Lead include:
· Responsible for driving Continuous Improvement strategies and principles throughout the Plant
· Ability to apply Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma and LEAN to systematically eliminate waste and reduce process variation
· Ensures effective collaboration and communication to keep plant leadership apprised of program status
· Ensure projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects and business strategy
· Coordinates Continuous Improvement project within the Plant
· Positions Continuous Improvement initiatives throughout the Plant by fostering strong collaboration which includes working effectively with cross functional teams
· Effectively develop, analyze and improve the LEAN management system
· Executes and trains others to execute Continuous Improvement activities such as A3’s, Gemba Walks, Reflection Meetings, Kaizen, 5S
· Track, monitor and report metrics associated with Reflection Board and Continuous Improvement action plan
· Assist in efforts for Project Home improvements
· Lead efforts in 5S improvements
· Serves as a coach and catalyst to develop a Continuous Improvement culture
Qualifications:
· Able to attend and apply Continuous Improvement Fundamentals Training
· Preference to those with previous Continuous Improvement experience
· A minimum of 2 years’ experience in manufacturing, engineering, supply chain or distribution is strongly preferred
· Demonstrated leadership potential, particularly around change management and building high functioning teams
· Strong business orientation, including financial, mathematical and statistical analysis skills
· Effective problem solver who is results oriented and able to foster support for change
· Proven organizational and project management skills
· Competent in Microsoft Office programs
· Must be proactive, analytical and process driven
· Able to inspire and motivate others
· Must be able to influence, negotiate and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals
· Must be a people and results oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety in all aspects of the daily work environment
Pay Rate: $31.26 (same as Maint 6, more than Oper 6, less than Prod Supervisor)
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
