Job Duties and Responsibilities As the Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager, you will be a key driver in ensuring product quality, process efficiency, and continuous improvement. You will oversee quality control, implement best practices, lean manufacturing, and foster a culture of excellence. Additional responsibilities include: Provide leadership, guidance and training as needed to facilitate identified process improvements--including but not limited to advanced data gathering and analysis, root cause problem solving and project management. Implement corrective action plans to eliminate wasteful or ineffective practices. Drive and report on continuous improvement activity across the organization to meet annual OPEX goals. Develop and implement quality control processes and maintain quality management systems including ISO 9001 compliance. Manage and develop QA, QC, and lean management personnel while working closely with other functions to secure needed resources for driving improvements. Serve as process owner for accuracy and calibration procedures for measurement equipment including CMM, gages, and any other measuring device. Champion a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. Train and mentor production staff in quality assessment and best practices. Organize and perform internal audits to Quality system compliance. Collaborate with, share best practices, and harmonize processes with other production units globally. Perform other functions that may be assigned. Requirements and Competencies Minimum of 5 years related experience with a focus on Quality or Lean Manufacturing Bachelor’s degree in an area of science or engineering or equivalent experience related to the role Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in quality control methodologies, statistical analysis, and root cause analysis Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma Ability to drive change and influence cross-functional teams Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community High level of knowledge in SPC, ISO 9001, and auditing Able to read, write, and speak English and possess good communication skills Must be a legal resident of United States Travel may be required Benefits Sandvik offers a comprehensive total compensation package including a competitive benefits package of health, dental and disability insurance, and a 401(k) retirement savings plan.
