Contracts Administration Manager prepares and administers bids, proposals, and commercial and government contracts that follow company policies and legal requirements. Manages the contracts administration staff and guides compliance with complex contractual and regulatory requirements. Being a Contracts Administration Manager negotiates with suppliers, partners, or customers. Ensures contracts are administered and monitored to maintain compliance with the terms of agreements. Additionally, Contracts Administration Manager has a strong understanding of the contract life cycle, types of contracts, and applicable government regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Sometimes requires certification like the NCMA Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM). Typically reports to a director. The Contracts Administration Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Contracts Administration Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Essential Duties:

    • Manage the day-to-day operations of new lines of business, ensuring efficient implementation, coordination, and execution.
    • Oversee onsite managers and supervisors (if any) of each commercial activity, providing guidance and support to ensure seamless transitions and successful operations.
    • Develop and maintain budgets for each commercial activity, ensuring financial objectives are met and resources are allocated effectively.
    • Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives, aiming to accelerate growth and achieve the mission.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify detailed business plans for commercial opportunities, such as expansion and business development.
    • Understand the requirements of existing customers to ensure their needs are met, acquire new customers, and manage client relationships.
    • Collaborate with and coordinate diverse teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service, to ensure the seamless execution of commercial strategies.
    • Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders, with a focus on partnerships with women, minority, and veteran-owned businesses and enterprises.
    • Monitor the performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
    • Assist in setting financial targets, contribute to budget development, and monitor financial performance.
    • Ensure all necessary licenses, permits, audits, and regulations are followed and in place for each commercial entity.
    Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or a related field required.
    • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a relevant field preferred.
    • 7-10 years of experience in commercial operations, sales, marketing, or business management.
    • Strong project and program management background.
    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Strong knowledge and experience in sales and marketing strategies, managing client relationships, and implementing marketing campaigns.
    • Exceptional leadership abilities to effectively manage teams and drive results.
    • Solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting processes.
    • In-depth knowledge and experience in conducting market research, analyzing market trends, and identifying commercial opportunities.
    • A strategic mindset with the ability to develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
    • A keen understanding of the industry, market dynamics, and competitors.
    • Outstanding organizational skills to manage multiple commercial activities simultaneously and strong analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics.
    • The ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and overcome challenges effectively.
