Job Title: Control Room Operator
Schedule: 14 and 14
Location: Offshore Gulf of Mexico
GIS is seeking a CRO to join our Production team. Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years-experience in OFFSHORE PRODUCTION in the GOM, a valid TWIC card and be eligible to work in the US.
Duties Include:
- Actively participate in GIS’s safety programs
- Maintain continuous monitoring of VHF radio and maintain regular communication with supply and standby vessels & beware of air traffic approaching & departing facility
- Meet or exceed all BSEE and USCG regulations and EPA permits
- Ballast and de-ballast the rig as required to maintain station
- Perform assigned duties during drills, emergency situations, and protection responses as designated on the station bill
- Monitor quantities of expendable such as fuel, potable and drill water and report all findings
- Carry out Preventative Maintenance on ballast control equipment and other equipment as required
- Assist the Barge Supervisor in carrying out rig move plans, aid anchor handling boats, and perform mobilization and demobilization preparations
- Monitor and control all process parameter conditions such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, levels, etc. through displays, graphics and trend logs using HMI
- Communicate with field operators for parameter adjustments in field
- Make adjustments to facility equipment, wells, vessels, etc. when necessary and reports any serious faults to the Supervisor with appropriate remedial actions and standard emergency responses
- Ensure the safe shutdown, isolation and blow down of relevant Sections during emergency situations
- Adhere to Company’s HSE policies and approved operating procedures while performing job duties
- Perform related duties assigned by Supervisor such as taking part in training, developing new recruits, implementing orientation programs, preparing reports, plant shutdown and start-up procedures, etc.
- Run, publish, & comprehend production allocation reports, morning reports, vent & flare reports
