Purpose:

Responsible for the overall accounting purchasing and stores functions for the plant.

Provides for the recording, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting of financial information and the establishment and monitoring of internal controls. Ensures integrity of financial data and balance sheet accounts. Supports the plant staff with interpretation of financial data. Direct reports include the Stores Manager.

Essential Functions

• Accurate and timely recording of plant information and performance.
• Develop internal reporting, analyze manufacturing costs, interpret financial and operational results, and provide recommendations to plant and SBU Management.
• Maintain standard monthly financial reporting of plant change analysis. Review the results with the plant management team on a monthly basis and the Executive Team on a quarterly basis.
• Develop and maintain system of internal controls that adequately safeguard plant assets and that minimize the chance of recording erroneous financial information.
• Perform Blackline reconciliations and tasks according to their required timing (monthly/quarterly/annually)
• Provide assistance to Corporate AG Finance in the development of budgets, manufacturing standards, and financial forecasts.
• Ensure OCS savings targets are achieved, and profit generation projects are implemented.
• Complete profitability analysis; provide results of analysis to plant staff.
• Review proposed capital projects for documentation compliance and business feasibility and provide related financial analysis. Ensure compliance with corporate capital asset policy and procedure.
• Perform month end closing requirements at a local level. Coordinate closing efforts at a corporate level. Perform account analysis to ensure integrity of financial data as reported in the general ledger and on financial statements.
• Manage reporting split between AG and Solar financials.
• Support various solar related calculations (business cases, input bundle price, contract balances).

Internal

Establish and maintain strong working relationships with Corporate AG, Group Finance & NA Shared Services Financial functions to ensure the maximum efficiency of the entire NSG operation and the sharing of best demonstrated practices within the company.

External

Establish and maintain excellent working relationships with the manufacturing operations direct customers and suppliers to ensure customer satisfaction and total quality flow from suppliers. External areas include:

• Union rules and regulations
• Plant and departmental safety rules and procedures

External auditors and tax consultants as required.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area with a minimum of 5 years’ experience
• Demonstrates strong leadership skills and exceptional organizational skills.
• Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Supervisory & Leadership Skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with manufacturing plant accounting and cost accounting
• Highly skilled in Microsoft office applications and SAP or other equivalent ERP systems

Qualifications Desired

MBA, CPA or CMA

Three or more years’ experience in plant manufacturing including accounting supervision and exposure to a variety of material control functions.
