Position: Copy Editor Intern Location: 2950 SW McClure Rd Topeka, KS Job Id: 1926 # of Openings: 1 Job Posting Title: Copy Editor InternDepartment: Creative ServicesReporting to: Senior Copy Writer/EditorLocation: Topeka, KSOverview:We are looking for a talented and motivated Copy Editor Intern to join our Strategic Communications team. You'll proof and edit content for our corporate and consumer-facing marketing initiatives for independent financial advisors and their clients. If you have a sharp eye for detail, enjoy the art of great grammar and are interested in financial services, we'd love to work with you.Here's what you'll be doing:- Proofreading and editing communication and marketing materials to ensure they're accurate and error-free
- Reviewing and refining e-blasts before distribution
- Providing design-ready copy to our graphic and web design teams
- Organizing archives and coordinating thank you gifts for AE's quarterly magazine
- Various tasks to keep the team running smoothly
What do we need from you?- College-level coursework in advertising, mass communications/journalism, marketing or English
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with AP style
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with or willingness to learn about AI editing and writing tools
- Work well independently and as part of a team
Bonus Points:- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.)
- Experience with project management software (we use Workfront)
