WSECU is looking for a collaborative leader to oversee our digital channels. We are seeking someone passionate about aligning technology and talent with business goals to meet member needs and delivering value to members and staff through innovative digital solutions.
The Vice President of Digital Delivery is a key contributor to the business strategy, accountable for recommending, planning, and leading all digital initiatives, building, and reviewing business plans, managing system health, and deciding on build, buy or partner solutions. They direct a team that supports development teams and configures technology platforms to support smooth business operations, overseeing all digital member interactions. They will combine their technical expertise with business insight, assessing needs, technology options and return on investment to deliver value.
In addition to strategic leadership, the VP plays a vital role in mentoring and developing direct reports and acts as the primary advisor for our Agile cross-functional teams (CFTs), aiding in their application of scrum and other development best practices. This role leads their teams in essential cross-functional and vendor collaboration to accomplish strategic goals, ensure compliance, and maintain high service levels.
As the VP of Digital Delivery, your day might include:
Strategy and Planning:

Partnering with the Chief Digital Officer and peers to provide input towards the Digital strategy: staying current on emerging trends, technologies, and innovative methods of delivering value to the organization and our members.

Partnering with key business partners, including Member Experience and IT, translating WSECU’s long-term vision into an actionable digital roadmap, generating practical and innovative ideas for the Agile CFTs, and serving as a conduit to the organization to share digital best practices.

Providing strategic oversight of system performance, ongoing backlog, and investment portfolio.

Oversight of roadmaps and ensuring alignment with business objectives and line of business leadership.

Participating in and providing input for WSECU business plan and strategic priorities.
Technology Delivery

Balancing cost-effective delivery with high member satisfaction, managing ROI and system implementations to ensure we are leveraging platforms to their full potential.

Ensuring requirements for technology platforms are adequately captured and implementations are monitoring to ensure the expected value is achieved.

Monitoring and measuring our digital systems against expected outcomes, recommending and implementing improvements to under-performing areas, and helping to improve productivity, workflow efficiency, and engagement for front-office and back-office teams as they work to achieve our desired service level standards.

Leading the Digital Systems Team to meet the needs of our agile organization and achievement of our organizational business priorities. Providing direct oversight to our Division’s Agile Product Owners and Agile Business Analysts assigned to the Agile CFTs. Coaching team on scrum best practices.

Overseeing delivery guidelines and operational controls to ensure high degrees of success in delivery modes.

Maintaining high degrees of data quality with system implementations, monitoring impacts to organizational data. Ensuring documentation stays current with organizational data dictionaries.

Managing vendor contracts, deliverables, and service agreements to optimize resources. Working with vendors on system changes, workflows, and best practices.
Leadership and Development

Providing strong leadership in each area of responsibility through regular coaching, evaluations, employee development and training. Practicing consistent management routines.

Recommending and overseeing budgeting for revenue, expense, and production projections.
What you bring to the team:
-
Ten (10) or more years of successful, well-rounded, senior-level technology leadership within a financial institution, with broad knowledge across multiple technology systems.

Five (5) or more years overseeing digital banking systems, system integrations, and systems analytics and insights.

Five (5) or more years leading strategic planning, complex budgeting, and personnel management in a matrix environment.

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, data analytics, computer science, information technology or a related field. Experience may be substituted, year for year, for education.

Familiarity with scrum, agile and other development methodologies and best practices

Experience in lending, business services, new account opening, deposits and/or collections is preferred.
Competitive Base Pay of $152,604.47 - $228,906.71 annually, dependent on relevant qualifications, plus an annual discretionary incentive plan and benefits package.

The target starting pay for this position is $152,604.47 - $190,755.59 annually, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.

The range above allows our employees room for growth through annual merit and other pay increase during their tenure in the position.
Where we’re located: 330 Union Ave, Olympia WA. Employee must reside and perform all work in the state of Washington. This is a hybrid position that blends working in-office and from home. Works onsite at least 2 occasions per week.
When you’d work: Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm, full time minimum 40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility to meet service needs for this Exempt position
