Corporate Construction Manager oversees construction projects and operations to meet the organization's financial and growth objectives and fulfill client contractual requirements. Follows established quality, performance, and safety standards and procedures for operations. Being a Corporate Construction Manager reviews and approves procurement of required material, equipment, subcontractors, and worker resources. Provides project updates and communicates with clients, contractors, governmental or regulatory officials, and other stakeholders. Additionally, Corporate Construction Manager builds effective team capacity to plan and implement construction projects. Ensures all permits, licenses, or certifications required by regulatory authorities are obtained. Establishes and enforces safety protocols and procedures to provide safe job sites and minimize risk. Monitors costs and timelines and submits required progress reports to deliver projects on time and within budget. Implements best practice construction methods to improve efficiency, productivity, and project outcomes. Requires a bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field. Typically reports to senior management. The Corporate Construction Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Corporate Construction Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description

    Reports to the Deputy Project Director or assigned project leadership. Provides planning, coordination and direction for preconstruction and construction management activities on K-12 projects to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget, with a high degree of quality, making sure to fulfill the requirements of the contract.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provides management support for the client to coordinate, direct and monitor activities of contractors/subcontractors, engineers, architects, state and local agencies and other related project entities.
    • Provides administration and processing of project logistics, organization, safety, and manpower utilization.
    • Provides constructability and peer reviews, estimating and budgets, phasing, contract document preparation, outreach, and bidding activities.
    • Provides project controls, cost, and performance activities managing project submittals, RFIs, ongoing schedule reviews, PCO negotiations, compiling change orders, processing payment applications, updates to project record drawings, inspections and reports.
    • Leads project meetings and issues meeting minutes for the administration and tracking of relevant information and statuses.
    • Monitors progress of the project team and provides routine reporting through daily reports & progress photos, Bi-Weekly progress reports, Submittal & RFI Logs, Change Order Logs.
    •  Coordinates, directs and monitors activities related to staff and site facilities such as moving classrooms, offices, other school facilities within or between school sites.
    • Responsible for project closeout activities including punchlists, trainings, securing record drawings, guarantees, warranties, O&Ms, related provisions for DSA closeout and final project delivery to Owner entities.

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Bachelors of science degree in Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering.
    • LLB project delivery required.
    • Knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to construction/project requirements.
    • Knowledge of PMIS software systems such as Ebuilder, ProCore, EADOC or similar.
    • Construction contract administration.
    • Safety Training.

    Offered rate of compensation will be based on a variety of non-discriminatory factors, including education, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. The Salary range for this position is $120,000-$135,000.
