Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Food Service Compliance Specialist

  • JOB SUMMARY:


    Coordinates and directs the work of food service personnel in preparing nutritious and attractive meals for students while maintaining a clean kitchen and cafeteria and observing all Health Department regulations to create a safe and healthy work environment.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follows and maintains knowledge of all District policies and procedures.
    • Knows and understands federal guidelines for the Child Nutrition Program and ensures compliance.
    • Knows and follows all safety and sanitary rules and regulations related to food handling.
    • Takes inventory, orders, receives, and verifies supply deliveries.
    • Ensures a safe and clean work area.
    • Checks freezers, refrigerators, and dishwashers to ensure proper operating temperature is being maintained and sanitation standards are being upheld.
    • Completes a high volume of computer work, to input a high volume of data with speed and accuracy, in an environment with frequent interruptions.
    • Rotates and stocks food on delivery days, as needed.
    • Completes daily paperwork in a timely manner and ensures accuracy.
    • Works cooperatively with other kitchen personnel.
    • Reports safety, sanitary, and fire hazards immediately to supervisor.
    • Maintains a high standard of personal cleanliness and proper grooming as per sanitation code.
    • Professionally represents Jasper Mountain in interactions with parents, community members, staff, and students.
    • Maintains appropriate certifications and training hours as required.
    • Complies with applicable District, state, local, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
    • Attends work regularly and is punctual.


    MARGINAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Attends/Completes all assigned trainings.
    • Serves as back up for other kitchen personnel, as needed.
    • Serves student breakfast, lunch and snacks, as needed.
    • Responds to requests for special food service needs.
    • Reports issues to authorities as necessary; animal control, suspicious activity, etc.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.     • Education and/or Experience:

    (A) A bachelor's degree, or equivalent educational experience, with an academic major or concentration in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field.

    (B) A bachelor's degree, or equivalent educational experience, with any academic major or area of concentration, and either a State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors, or at least one year of relevant food service experience.

    (C) An associate degree, or equivalent educational experience, with an academic major or area of concentration in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a related field and at least one year of relevant food service experience.

    (D) A high school diploma or equivalent (such as the general educational development diploma), and at least three years of relevant food service experience.

    • Interpersonal Skills: Works well with others from diverse backgrounds. Focuses on solving conflict, maintaining confidentiality, listening to others without interrupting, keeping emotions under control, remaining open to others’ ideas, and contributing to building a positive team spirit. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with staff and students.
    • Language Skills: Ability to communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing. Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and governmental regulations. Ability to verbally respond to common inquiries from students and staff. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
    • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and perform basic math skills involving monetary units. Ability to calculate rate, ratio, proportions, percentages, and volume Ability to read and interpret bar graphs.
    • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, schedule, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
    • Computer Skills: : General knowledge of computer usage and ability to use, e-mail, internet software, word processing software, and other software programs as determined by the District. Ability to type accurately and proficiently.
    • Other Skills and Abilities: Ability to appropriately communicate with students and staff. Ability to meet timelines and exercise good judgment while working in a dynamic environment.
    • Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Certificates as determined by Jasper Mountain including the ability to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid Card (in-house training), Oregon Food Handler Card, and Oregon Driver License.
