Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist supports and coordinates the activities of the organization's global ethics and compliance function. Assists with the delivery and maintenance of programs to assess and manage legal and regulatory compliance risks and establish high ethical standards of conduct for the organization. Being an Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist prepares materials that communicate the organization's ethical standards, policies, and regulations. Supports or delivers employee training programs that raise awareness about ethics-related topics such as Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption, Antitrust, Conflicts of Interest, and others. Additionally, Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist generates reports of compliance monitoring statistics, investigations, outcomes, and remediations of any non-compliant actions. May administer reporting systems or helplines for employees, customers, contractors, and other stakeholders to disclose violations of the organization's ethical standards, violations of law, or policies without fear of retaliation. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Corporate Ethics & Compliance Specialist work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     We are currently looking to hire an entry-level Compliance Specialist to work full-time, Monday through Friday, in a remote capacity. As part of the existing Compliance team, you will execute daily activities which support, and ensure the ongoing participation of, members of our national network of security vendors. Through phone and electronic communication, you will ensure that each vendor maintains all insurance, licensing, tax, and contract documentation required for participation in our network – and that this information is current, verified, and maintained within internal databases.     Essential Duties and Responsibilities May Include:

    • Ensure all security vendors are properly licensed and insured, via audit or monitoring business processes and databases
    • Communicate with vendors to obtain renewal documents as and when needed
    • Confirm documents received are accurate and meet requirements; work with vendors to resolve any issues identified
    • Validate that documents received are authentic by contacting insurance brokers or carriers, and licensing authorities
    • Ensure vendor network integrity by advising other Protos departments of a vendor’s non-compliance and move to restrict their access to future work orders
    • Manage documents across data repositories, including hard and digital copies as necessary
    • Work with internal partners as needed to provide support and/or resolve compliance-related issues
    • Review new vendor applications, determine their value to the network; participate in onboarding as required
    • Maintain vendor and contact profile data; document all communications in company systems, spreadsheets, or reports
    • Participate in weekly meetings to discuss business objectives, P&P adjustments, audit needs, areas of the country where additional vendors are needed, and provide feedback regarding internal IT-related process and workflow
    • Be a team player, sharing best practices and lessons learned with other members of the Compliance team to ensure a level of consistency across all vendor interactions
    • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, representing Protos in full compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks of a similar nature and scope as necessary to achieve assigned business objectives

    Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED required; Undergraduate work preferred
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a compliance role, or a position requiring a similar skill set
    • Highly organized and methodical, with a systematic approach to work
    • Process driven and detailed oriented, with excellent prioritization and time management skills
    • Thinks critically and anticipates, recognizes, identifies, and develops solutions to problems quickly
    • Proficient in data validation and sorting
    • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
    • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented environment
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) proficiency required; Excel knowledge preferred
    • Security industry experience helpful, but not required
