    Under the direction of the Vice President of Sales, the Corporate Trailer Sales Manager is responsible for developing strategic sales plans to enhance market penetration and achieve sales targets for trailers. This role involves leading the day-to-day operations of the trailer sales department, managing inventory levels, and overseeing the preparation and submission of sales quotations. The Corporate Trailer Sales Manager will work closely with General Managers, Corporate Managers, and Sales Personnel across the organization to ensure seamless sales transactions and customer satisfaction. This position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgement with matters of significance.



    Develop strategic sales plans to enhance market penetration and achieve sales targets for trailers.
    Collaborate with the leadership team to set sales goals and objectives for the trailer sales department.
    Coordinate with marketing teams to create promotional strategies for trailer sales.


    • Lead the day-to-day operations of the trailer sales department, ensuring all sales activities align with company standards.
    • Manage inventory levels to meet customer demand and avoid overstock situations (three months’ supply)
    • Oversee the preparation and submission of sales quotations, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing.
    • Maintain an up-to-date CRM system, documenting customer interactions, sales activities, and market trends.
    • Ensure the showroom and sales lot are well-maintained and trailers are presented in the best possible condition.
    • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, providing exceptional service to foster loyalty and repeat business.
    • Coordinate with other departments, such as finance, parts, and service, to ensure smooth sales transactions and customer satisfaction to achieve full market penetration.
    • Train and mentor sales staff, promoting a high-performance culture and continuous professional development.
    • Resolve customer issues and complaints promptly, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking and prospecting.
    • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings to promote trailer sales.
    • Implement and monitor sales processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Other tasks and duties as assigned.
    • Develop an Annual Sales Forecast and monitor monthly progress
    • Identifies fleet account opportunities and approaches each market with a written business plan specific to each identified potential account
    • Focuses sales efforts, programs and incentives on all over aged inventory
    • Assist in recruiting, hiring and training Trailer Sales Representatives on the sales process and IMPACT.
    • Fosters training programs with trailer manufacturers
    • Participates in Trailer Sales Calls and arranges factory visit
    • Assist salespeople in structuring and closing deals
    • Maintain relationship with various trailer factory contacts
    • Keeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers that will assist in sales efforts.
    • Assist Marketing with specifications, descriptions, images and pricing of advertised units


    • Prepare and present sales reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
    • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.

    Risk Management

    • Identify potential risks in the sales process and develop strategies to mitigate them.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
    • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.


    Education & Experience

    • A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 5 years’ experience in sales management, preferably in the heavy-duty truck or trailer industry.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
    • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

    This position requires moderate travel 50%-60%
