Position Summary: This position will prepare and maintain monthly financial journal entries to produce financial statements. Responsible for reconciling all bank accounts monthly. Annual reporting of financials into NTD system. Ensures reports are accurate and timely. Conduct annual maintenance inventory. Assist Finance Director and Finance team members and Administrative Staff as required.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Performs monthly journal entries and financial statement
• Reconcile all bank accounts monthly
• Quarterly reporting to state on vehicles and staff planning hours
• Accounts Receivable from invoicing to deposit and posting of funds
• Annual medical levy calculation
• Tracking of all fixed assets; purchase and disposal; quarterly provide information to auditors
• Annual NTD Reporting for agency of financials
• Annual inventory of parts for maintenance
• Tri-annual inventory of assets
• Additional reporting requests to federal, state, and local agencies
• Local grant reporting for demand response funding
• Assist with federal grant application, funding and reimbursement requests
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
• Demonstrate strong internal customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Provides outside auditors with assistance by gathering necessary account information and documents to perform annual audits.
• Communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization, vendors, and other agencies.
• Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and the ability to learn accounting software.
• Back up payroll functions
• Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or GED and three years of experience, or any similar combination of education and experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Accounting Degree

Two to five years of financial experience with payroll emphasis.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS OR LICENSES:

Valid driver's license in the State of Montana or an acceptable means of alternate transportation.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work occurs typically in an office with frequent (51-80%) use of a computer, telephone, and other office equipment; the noise level is typical of an office environment. Work is also performed in a classroom environment and, infrequently, in shop-floor locations with the various noise levels associated with those locations.

The employee is frequently required to sit, talk, or hear; use repetitive hand motions; handle or feel; and stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, or lift up to five pounds regularly. Infrequently, moving materials weighing

up to 25 pounds may be required.

Hourly wages DOE $32.01/hour - $34.41/hour.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the general supervision of the Manager of Finance.
