Job Title: Cost Accountant
Location: Bloomfield CT
Duration: 8 Months

Hours: 8 hours/day and 5 days/week. Mondy to Friday, 8am -5pm.
‘Must Have’ skills and experiences:
1.) manufacturing cost account experience, such as annual physical inventory, standard cost rollup in ERP, PPV analysis, prepare journal entries of inventory/ cost adjustment, E&O reserve analysis, meeting various audit and compliance requirements associated with costing and inventory.
2.) ERP Tools and Software – superior knowledge in Oracle/JDE, Bolt, HFM/planful and other financial reporting tools.
3.) Account reconciliations.
4.) Customer focus - Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solution.
Education: College, university, or equivalent degree required in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Minimum - Bachelor's Degree
Experience: At least 3 years of experience
Job Summary
Provide support and training on maintaining standard costs and its ongoing analysis, maintaining accuracy and control on inventory, and provide professional advice and guidance on projects as it relates to costing and inventory. This role will be a key member of the costing team in providing costing support and in other accounting areas.
Key Responsibilities
Leads and provide training on the annual physical inventory exemption application.
Leads and provide training on the annual standard cost rollup in ERP.
Provide support and guidance on meeting various audit and compliance requirements associated with costing and inventory.
Provide support and advise on various projects as it relates to costing and inventory controls.
Provide support on various research related to costing and inventory controls.

ERP Tools and Software – superior knowledge in Oracle and other financial reporting tools

Work with plant costing team to perform and lead costing projects.
Education, Licenses, Certifications: College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required. Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Chartered Accountant or similar certification preferred. Minimum - Bachelor's Degree
