Responsibilities Of The Cost Accountant- Record and report all incoming and outgoing materials, confirm complete and accurate counts, and reconcile/explain all variances
- Research and resolve any inventory-related errors, discrepancies, and special requests from the accounting department
- Communicate with business partners and complete weekly reconciliations of off-site inventory
- Prepare and review any month-end journal entries related to inventory, prepare account reconciliations at month-end close for cost and inventory
- Assist with monthly and annual closing activities, variance reports, and audits
- Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance. Required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years professional experience in cost accounting
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization as well as with customers and regulatory agencies.
- A self-starter who likes to take initiative and see a project through to completion
