PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Works directly with sales and operations to direct the daily activities of the building crew to accomplish tasks in a safe and productive manner, providing a positive construction experience for our patrons.
SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP
Provides supervision and leadership for the building crew personnel assigned to applicable job sites.
Ability to train building crew personnel on proper construction methods.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Works with and leads the building crew to erect new building projects and building repairs from start to finish.
Ability to properly use hand and power tools, climb ladders, and measure and square projects without direct supervision.
Trains assigned personnel on proper construction methods and safety practices and procedures.
Interprets sales contracts, construction plans, and material lists to ensure projects are completed to specifications.
Ability to use all necessary equipment to complete projects and instruct crew personnel on the proper use of equipment, including but not limited to:
Keeps accurate job records and strives to complete projects at or below the man-hours sold for applicable projects.
Performs necessary maintenance on trucks and equipment.
Keeps clean and safe job sites.
Assists with the general maintenance and upkeep of the department facility.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Attends company and department meetings and training programs.
Follows GROWMARK’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a high school diploma, or the equivalent thereof, and 3 years or more of related work experience to demonstrate knowledge of construction and leadership skills.
Demonstrates essential abilities including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making and skill development.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, and the ability to obtain a CDL license within the first 6 months of employment.
Previous Foreman experience on a building crew preferred.
Continuously exposed or required to:
Ability to work hours other than those considered normal to meet seasonal demands.
Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position.
