    As a Quotation and Estimation Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our organization by providing accurate and competitive quotations and estimates for projects. You will be responsible for analyzing project requirements, determining costs, labor and materials needs, and preparing detailed quotations. This position will work closely with other team members in various departments to provide the most accurate and comprehensive financial and budget analysis for each project.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    1. Project Analysis:

    • Review project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents to understand project requirements thoroughly.
    • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.

    2. Cost Estimation:

    • Utilize cost estimation software, historical data, and industry benchmarks to determine material, labor, and overhead costs for projects.
    • Conduct detailed cost breakdowns for various project components and activities.
    • Analyze and mitigate potential risks that may impact project costs.

    3. Quotation Preparation:

    • Prepare comprehensive and competitive quotations tailored to meet client requirements.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all cost elements included in quotations.
    • Present quotations to clients and address any inquiries or modifications as needed.

    4. Bid Management:

    • Assist in the development of bid strategies and pricing models to maximize competitiveness while maintaining profitability.
    • Coordinate with sales and business development teams to meet bid submission deadlines.
    • Track and analyze bid outcomes to refine future estimation and pricing strategies.

    5. Vendor and Supplier Relations:

    • Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
    • Negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements to optimize project costs.

    6. Documentation and Reporting:

    • Maintain accurate records of quotations, estimates, and related documentation.
    • Generate reports and analysis on quotation activity, including win-loss analysis and pricing trends.
    • Provide regular updates to management on quotation status, potential opportunities, and challenges.

    Qualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field is preferred.
    • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction, engineering, or manufacturing industry.
    • Proficiency in cost estimation techniques, software, and tools.
    • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
    • Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects.
    • Exceptional time management skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and polished organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
    • Technically savvy and mechanically minded.
    • Familiarity with project management principles is an advantage.


    Travel Requirements:


    • Little to no travel required.

    Working Conditions:

    Normal office environment setting or may be exposed to noise if working in or around a production area. Schedule is Monday through Friday, normal business hours. Constantly required to sit, use hands, talk, and hear. Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

    Position Location:

    This position is to be located Huntersville, NC and is an onsite position, Monday through Friday (8AM-5PM) and not remote eligible. Only under special circumstance(s) will the person be allowed to work remotely and with express written consent of senior leadership.

    Compensation:

    Compensation for this position will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications, aligning with industry standards. The salary range for Huntersville, NC, is also based upon geographical market standards for the industry and position in those areas.

    There is a possibility of a bonus(es) based on individual performance and merit to be paid at the sole discretion of the company, but bonus(es) are not guaranteed unless outlined in writing in the offer letter extended to the candidate selected for the position.
