Cost Estimation Engineer jobs in Huntington, NY

The Signage Cost Specialist plays an essential role in accurately estimating costs for interior signage projects, from material selection to methods of fabrication and installation. This position requires the ability to assess project requirements (including timelines) while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with design and engineering teams to determine material requirements and align design specifications with labor, fabrication methods, material properties, machine capacities and installation methods.
• Estimate and optimize costs for materials and manufacturing processes while maintaining product quality.
• Coordinate with the production team and outside vendors to manage schedules.
• Estimate installation costs, ensuring safety and project compliance.
• Use software tools for efficient project tracking and cost management.

Requirements Experience/Skills Required:

• Comprehensive knowledge of sign manufacturing, including material selection and production/installation methods.
• Ability to interpret and evaluate project specifications to estimate costs accurately.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and time management skills.
• A proven ability to achieve project objectives.
• Previous experience as an estimator, preferably in the sign manufacturing industry, with a focus on interior architectural signage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Intermediate Excel
• Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw
• Experience with Estimating software programs.
• Proficiency in Project management tools (Monday.com)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, with demonstrated experience in cost estimation and project management preferred. Any combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities will be considered.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.11 - $29.04 per hour
