JOB DESCRIPTION:
SBI Consultants Inc is currently looking for a Project Engineer (PE) to join our team. Project Engineer is a key engineering role that serves as a liaison between the project manager and the technical disciplines involved in a project, such as scheduling, estimating, document control, change order coordination etc. Responsibilities and tasks may vary depending on a project size and stage. The Project Engineer should be knowledgeable and able to speak intelligently within the various disciplines. The project engineer is also often the primary technical point of contact for the customer.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements.
· Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project.
· Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly.
· Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget.
· Monitors project staffing requirements and coordinates staffing with supporting organization managers.
· Coordinates preparation and delivery of project design documents, and bid packages.
· Monitors project teams’ performance in accordance with established project criteria.
· Reviews product design for compliance with customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
· Monitors activities concerned with technical, scheduling, and budgeting developments.
· Monitors integration of technical activities and products.
· Monitors design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
· Prepares interim and completion project reports.
· Provides status and progress reports to clients, project team, and management.
· Other duties may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor and/or Master's degree in engineering from an accredited university. 0 to 3 years of relevant industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree is preferred.
Successful candidate must be a problem solver and a team player, who is able to manage time, plan and prioritize assignments to meet clients' demands and project(s) deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
COMPENSATION:
Offered rate of compensation will commensurate with individual education, qualifications, experience, skills and work location. Salary range for this position is $78,000 - $90,000 annually plus Performance Bonus & Profit Sharing Bonus.
