Cost Estimation Engineer estimates costs for construction, engineering, manufacturing, or other implementation projects based on an analysis of project technical requirements. Collects data and analyzes all project costs, including raw materials, labor, equipment and tooling to ensure estimates are accurate. Being a Cost Estimation Engineer identifies and quantifies potential cost uncertainties to ensure costing models capture the full range of potential costs. Updates costs as necessary based on new information and project scope changes. Additionally, Cost Estimation Engineer coordinates with project management, engineering, procurement and other project stakeholders. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Cost Estimation Engineer work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. Scope
Plant reporting entity’s Accounting & Reporting requirements:
- Close monthly books in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. This includes all accounting and reporting activities (e.g. accruals, journal entries, tracking of provisions and account reconciliations) and HFM (Hyperion Financial Management) submissions;
- Compile and organize accounting records and transactional supports (Accounts Payable, Journal Voucher, Account reconciliation Files) and assist during audits and balance sheet reviews;
- Communicate HQ Interplant AR & AP positions to relevant trading partners and ensure mismatches are resolved before reports are finalized;
- Reconcile and manage all payroll & benefit related GL accounts;
- Fix and load Payroll interface batches
- Handle all Fixed Asset Accounting functions (capitalization, depreciation, internal order, disposal, impairment, transfer, etc);
- Perform monthly forex revaluation and post recurring, auto-reversal entries
- Management executive reports, capital expenditures summary, DSO, etc.;
- Fills in for Plant Controller in their absence.
Profile (Experience & qualifications)
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or foreign equivalent and three (3) years’ experience in job offered or a related occupation. SAP hands-on experience in GL & Fixed asset module, High level proficiency in MS Excel. - 2 Days Ago
