Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Counsel with a strong background in contracts to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have up to five years of experience since graduating from law school and will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting the company in various legal matters.
Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership agreements, and service contracts.
- Legal Support: Provide legal advice and support to internal teams on contractual matters and compliance issues.
- Risk Management: Assist in managing and mitigating legal risks associated with contracts and business operations.
- Research: Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaboration: Coordinate with external legal counsel as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all contracts and legal documents.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures in all contract-related activities.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Support the legal team in other ad hoc legal tasks and projects.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensure: Admission to the state bar in Oklahoma.
- Experience: 0-5 years of relevant legal experience, with a focus on contracts.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in legal research tools and contract management software.
- Industry Familiarity: Familiarity with corporate law and compliance.
