Position: Summer Camp Counselors
Position Summary:The major responsibility of the Camp Counselor is to assist in the daily delivery of a wide variety of developmentally appropriate programs and activities. Participate in all activities and insure that campers participate as well.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Assist in the daily delivery of a wide variety of developmentally appropriate programs and activities.
- Assist in the supervision and discipline of campers participating in programs and services within the designated program areas as well as throughout the camp/clubhouse as deemed appropriate.
- Participate in collaborative programs, events, and field trips with staff from other clubhouse groups, staff from other BGCB clubhouses and community organizations as appropriate.
- Assessing our impact is critical to our work. All staff is expected to participate in various evaluation efforts throughout each program year, including the annual member survey.
- Secure and maintain materials, equipment and other resources belonging to the camp/program area(s). Maintain a safe and clean camp/program area.
- Travel between sites and to activities as needed.
- Other related duties as specified by Directors.

Position Requirements (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Work Demand :- High School degree or GED preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Experience working with children/youth preferred.
- Must be or become CPR and First Aid certified.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Ability to work with youth and families from a variety of backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work evening and weekend shifts, flexibility to work extended hours required.
Job Type: Seasonal (Full-Time)
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
