Crane Operator operates a crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position heavy materials or equipment. Performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment and may perform routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating or checking fluid levels. Being a Crane Operator communicates via hand or radio signals to receive or convey instructions. Identifies and addresses potential hazards and adheres to all safety protocols. Additionally, Crane Operator maintains documentation of activities including time logs and inspection reports to ensure compliance with regulations and operating procedures. Typically requires a high school diploma. May require NCCCO Certification. May require State License. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Crane Operator works under moderate supervision. Qualifications
• NCCCO certification (current)
• Possess and maintain a valid Class A driver's license for operation of 60Ton Boom-Truck Crane
• Successful completion and passing of company drug screen, background check and fit test
• Must be willing and able to work in a field environment in all weather conditions
• Requires ability for lifting up to 75 lbs., sitting, standing, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs & ladders, and balancing
• Must be willing to live in SW North Dakota
• Must be willing and able to work as needed on a 24/7 basis; Travel to field required daily
Responsibilities
• The position requires driving and operating of a 60 Ton Boom-Truck Crane
• This position requires the ability to work in all types of inclement and extreme weather conditions
• Perform Pre-Trips and Post Trips and crane daily inspection documentation
• Secure and safely transport equipment according to DOT regulations
• Following Instructions to perform job accurately and safely
• Perform general maintenance and cleanup to truck you will operate
• Operate truck efficiently, effectively and safely
• Follow all company policies, DOT regulations, and NCCCO regulations
• Work and commit to a company-wide culture that ensures that Safety is everybody’s responsibility
• All other duties as assigned
