Crane Operator operates crane to lift, move, load, unload, or position materials or equipment in a manufacturing environment. Performs daily safety and performance checks of crane equipment. Being a Crane Operator cleans and lubricates cables, pulley, or grappling devices. Utilizes hand or radio signals to communicate with others on work site. Additionally, Crane Operator complies with all safety regulations. May require state certification or operator license. Typically requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Crane Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
