Crane Climber/Groundsperson
JOB SUMMARY
The crane climber/ groundsperson position is for fit, enthusiastic, team members who are responsible for ongoing support for all crew operations. The main focus of this position is cutting and processing tree debris on the ground either for chipping or to go onto the log truck, as well as ongoing clean up throughout the project. As well as support for the crane or hand climbing portion of the job, by assisting in climbing as needed. ArborClimb is built on a culture of leadership and so this role in the company is best for an enthusiastic self-starter who is happy to work throughout the project in a quick, safe, and effective manner. The crane climber/ groundsperson should have a CDL license and can safely and effectively operate the chipper and the chip truck, both empty and full, maneuvering it to, around, and from the job. Operating all equipment necessary to process logs, debris and brush. (tractor, excavator, skidder, log truck…etc) This position’s skill-set, work ethic, and demeanor are focused very much on getting the job done in the most professional manner possible. This person is expected to be skilled in all aspects related to climbing and groundperson duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
The ideal crane climber/ groundsperson’s capabilities are in their enthusiasm to get the job done well and without incident. This position should have advanced experience with chainsaw work and maintenance and is happy either taking direction or in taking initiative in doing what they see has to be done on the job. In addition, this position would ideally have sound capabilities in basic equipment operation (log truck, tractor, chipper, and bucket truck). This position can work within the larger crew, or can be assigned to join a secondary, specialized crew that might do logging, mulching, plant healthcare, or other specific projects. This person is high-energy, ready to go, and up for anything.

PAY & BENEFITS:
Although this position is paid hourly at $25-$31per hour, and often has overtime, the base annual pay scale is $50,000–$65,000. On top of this, we offer:
