    Position Summary
    The Creative Director is responsible for the direction of the creative team and the creative output of the company as a whole. This is a direct leadership role and will require managing creative people and overseeing a complex team at the core of the B2B agency. This position requires a clear understanding of foundational and current design approaches with an emphasis on B2B marketing strategy, as well as having your pulse on future design trends including AI. This knowledge includes but is not limited to digital, print, environmental, retail, and video work. This person reports to the CEO — will be a member of the leadership team that discusses, debates, and advises the CEO on a broad range of agency topics, opportunities, and challenges.

    Responsibilities:
    • Manage the overall creative direction and execution of the work at the agency, making sure it meets the high standards of the Executive Creative Director, the agency, and those of our clients.
    • Identify the conceptual direction for clients and projects and present these clearly and passionately to clients.
    • Deliver clear, effective creative feedback to ensure that creative deliverables are mapping to and exceeding our clients’ creative and business goals.
    • Lead specific client or project work as needed.
    • Mentor and grow the creative team, providing a path for creative and professional growth for each team member, either directly or in conjunction with the ACDs and/or other creative leads (art directors, copy lead, etc.)
    • Represent the agency as a leading voice in the community and within the industry.
    • Help recruit and retain the best talent across the nation.
    • Assign and assemble the right creative team for each client and project (i.e. Resourcing).
    • Delegate, strategically, to best achieve the above expectations.
    • Mentor colleagues as appropriate.
    • Evaluate assignments and help identify resources and expertise needed to complete projects.
    • Collaborate with account and strategy leads to develop creative briefs.
    Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media Design, Visual, Fine or Commercial Arts, Art Design, or related field.
    • 8 years’ experience in a similar role within a company or agency environment.
    • Experience with project management; comfortable project managing the workflow, Mentoring Jr. Designers.
    • An excellent understanding of and speed within PowerPoint is a must.
    • Exceptional time management skills – we are a deadline driven team.
    • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – Photoshop, XD, InDesign, Illustrator, PPT and Microsoft Office programs.
    • A flair for delivering visual concepts in the context of a chosen strategy.
    • Comprehensive understanding of type, photography, and color management, evident in portfolio examples.
    • Thorough understanding of print, presentation, collateral design, and production processes as well as industry best practices.
    • Collaborates well with others, demonstrated by partnering with account, strategy, and creative teams to successfully deliver work to clients.
    • Anticipates potential problems and obstacles to project success, communicates concerns and develops solutions.
    • Able to communicate clearly, thoroughly, and succinctly both verbally and in writing; able to respond to comments, suggestions and criticisms in a constructive manner while maintaining the integrity of the creative idea; able to influence and/or persuade key stakeholders when necessary.
    • Understanding of how to craft language that is introductory, educational, inspirational, formal, humorous, straightforward and can overall grab the attention of the viewer.
    • Knowledge of current trends, pop culture, current and past design themes.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of client category, business, and objectives, and a clear understanding of key strategic issues impacting client’s business.

    Working Conditions:
    • The majority of work is completed in an office setting with intermittent sitting, standing and walking.
    • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Travel to visit clients or conferences a possibility.
    • Standard office hours for the business are Monday through Thursday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm EST and Friday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm EST.
    • Office based employees are expected to work 4 days in office and may work from home one day a week after 3 months of employment.
