The Role

Creative Energy seeks a part-time accountant to join our support team in Johnson City. Reporting to Vice President of Operations, you’ll play an important role in ensuring that our company is financially sound.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and prepare regular/monthly invoices for client projects
• Organize, analyze and verify various financial transactions
• Assist with payroll activities
• Prepare monthly financial reporting for key stakeholders
• Assemble all month end reports to send to our accounting firm for final review
• Ensure financial reporting is suitably compliant to local and federal regulations
• Work with management to develop financial strategies and forecasting
• Manage annual budget process
• Advise on possible cost reduction across the business
• Manage cash flow
• Perform any other office or accounting duties as requested

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 2-4 years of experience in an accounting position
• Proficient in Google Suite
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
• Strong analytical problem-solving with an ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy.
• Excellent math and organizational skills
• Able to work as a team player
• Willingness to learn our payroll and project management systems

Schedule & Setting

• In office
• 20-25 hours per week
• Flexible schedule – 8a-noon, 9a-1pm, 10a-2pm, etc.

Pay: $39,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
