Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support our dental team in providing high-quality patient care while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This role involves assisting with various dental procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and managing patient records. A strong emphasis on infection control and patient interaction is essential.

Duties

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Perform medical imaging as required, ensuring accurate capture of diagnostic images.
• Manage patient flow and provide exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation and update patient records using Eaglesoft software.
• Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary equipment.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Support pediatric patients with a gentle approach to create a comfortable atmosphere.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient operations within the practice.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role within a dental setting.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and aseptic techniques is preferred.
• Proficient in using dental software such as Eaglesoft for documentation purposes.
• Knowledge of general dentistry practices, including infection control measures.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages, including children.
• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is an advantage.
