Creative Manager is responsible for managing all phases of creative development work from concept to completion. Oversees the creation of art, photo, copy, and layout for creative projects. Being a Creative Manager implements policies and standards that reinforce the organization's branding strategy and quality goals. Manages and develops a team of designers, copywriters, project managers and vendors. Additionally, Creative Manager leads the development of creative briefs and utilizes design methodologies that meet the business objectives and timelines of the organization and stakeholders. Evaluates and adopts the most effective tools and techniques across all media. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Creative Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Creative Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. About This Role:
This embedded role will be based remotely and will work closely with Google’s Economic and Community Development (ECD) Content team under the Energy and Location Strategy (ELS) team. The role will interact cross-functionally with many teams across the Google Data Center (GDC) organization and the broader Google organization, such as Sustainability, Climate, Strategic Negotiators, Public Affairs, Policy, Public Relations/Communications, and more.
The Creative Director will manage and directly engage in the creation of digital and print content for Google’s strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a hands-on approach to graphic design, content strategy, and multimedia production, while also providing leadership in project management and team collaboration.
