POSITION SUMMARY
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
- Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
- Assists and / or conducts assigned group or one-to-one activity programs according to calendar.
- Moves and arranges equipment / supplies to assure that activity areas are ready for scheduled activity.
- Assists residents move to and from activity programs as needed.
- Is responsible for returning all activity department materials to their proper place in a timely manner and maintaining a tidy, pleasant atmosphere in activity room.
- Assists Activity Director in developing schedule for activities, distributes monthly activity calendars to residents and posts changes to calendar according to state and federal regulations.
- Follows resident care plan in providing daily activities for residents.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years' experience in related position, in healthcare environment preferred
- Aptitude for and / or some training in arts and crafts required
- High school diploma or equivalent desirable
