Credit and Collections Clerk jobs in Huntington, WV

Cabell Huntington Hospital's Home Care Medicine is accepting applicants for a full-time Collections Clerk.

The incumbent will collect fees for service by calling patients to request payment. The incumbent will also assist with registration of patients and checking eligibility of patient insurance to ensure payment for service.

The incumbent is tomaintain high quality in the billing and follow of Accounts Receivable. Ensure efficient processing of claims. Maximize cash flow by collecting fee for service monies due at time of service; ensure prompt and efficient processing of payments received, ensure that all assigned duties are done on a daily basis and in a prompt and professional manner.

• High School or diploma equivalent required.
• One year of physician practice and/or billing experience required.
• Must be able to type 45 wpm.
• Must be able to understand and interpret ICD9/ICD10, CPT and HCPCS Coding Terminology.
• Experience dealing with different insurance payors including government and commercial preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in business or related field of study and/or some course work completion preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records required.
• Relevant certification in healthcare preferred.
