Title: Executive Director
Reports to: President of the Board of Directors
The Executive Director of Kids in Crisis-Intervention Team (KIC-IT) will have overall strategic and operational responsibility to staff, program, expansion, and execution of its mission. He or She will initially develop a deep knowledge of all program, operations, and business plans.
Position Summary and Responsibilities:
● Leadership and Public Relations: The Executive Director is the face of KIC IT and should actively engage and strengthen volunteers, maintain communication with Board of Directors, sub-committees, partnering organizations, and community donors. Strengthen public relations through social media, and web presence, and enhance the brand of KIC-IT.
● Financial Management and Grants: Expand revenue streams through the application of local, state, and federal grants, and the increase of community donors. Maintain and enhance local revenue streams through community partnerships and local government funding. Plan and develop multiple fundraisers through the year to supplement funding sources.
● Strategic Planning and Organizational Development: The Executive Director should be the leader in goal setting and future strategic planning to expand and further develop current programming and organizational matters.
● Compliance: The Executive Director shall ensure KIC IT is in compliance with local, state, and federal laws as well as the satisfaction of all requirements of grants awarded to KIC-IT.
Personal Characteristics:
The Executive Director of KIC-IT should possess a passion and dedication to those who are, or at-risk of, experiencing homelessness. Additionally, applicants should be willing to be active within the community, attending various meetings and events for agency promotion. Additional characteristics are:
● Management skills, effectively overseeing and delegating tasks to increase efficiency
Strong organizational and planning skills
● Ability to work one-on-one and interact with individuals identified as homeless or at risk of homelessness, individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
● Visionary leadership
Qualifications:
● Advanced degree in the field of social work, counseling, therapy, and/or another related field.
● Minimum of five years of management and supervisory experience
● Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care
● Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives and manage a budget
● Ability to create, implement, and enforce policies and procedures
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google, QuickBooks, social media, Website Management, and general operations of a personal computer
● Fundraising, Planning, Strategic Planning, and Marketing Skills
● Conflict Management
● Other duties assigned and/or directed by the Board of Directors
Salary:
$50,000-$60,000; Salary for this position may be commensurate with education and job experience.
