Campaign Manager, Plymouth MA

Overview. Manage all aspects of a political campaign for a Democratic candidate for State Representative. Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the campaign. They should be able to work closely with the candidate to develop and implement strategies for a successful campaign. They must be able to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining a clear focus on winning the election.

Job Duties.

• Developing and coordinating a door knocking campaign that will need to reach thousands of households. Recruiting volunteers from a volunteer list as well as the campaign manger’s social/professional circle. Door knocking campaigns will be in Plymouth. Some knowledge and proximity to Plymouth is necessary.

• Developing door knocking routes including the selection of target households using the VAN platform and database. Training is available to learn this platform.

• Developing and coordinating campaign events such as rallies and Meet & Greet appearances.

• Recruiting a volunteer base of supporters and keeping them motivated.

• Development and execution of posts on social media.

• Able to make changes to candidate website a plus.

• Developing and coordinating advertising efforts such as mailings, newsprint, and other. Researching and analyzing campaign issues.

Requirements and Experience.

• College Degree or enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program with a focus on communications.

• Experience on political campaigns.

• Experience recruiting and organizing volunteers.

• Experience with social media. Able to maintain candidate website a plus.

• Knowledge of Excel and ability to manage Excel voter lists. Experience with Canva.

• Knowledge of VAN is required. Training is available.

• Access to a car

• Experience with canvassing and developing and managing canvassing activities.

Timing and salary.

• The position begins in the first quarter of 2024 and runs through the election on Nov 8 plus an additional week for close out.

• Approximately 5-10 hours per week through June then ramping up to 20 hours per week, some evenings and weekend work are required.

• Pay at $30 per hour.
