Job Summary
This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service to customers who visit both the physical store location and online website or social media. They will assist customers with their inquiries, help them find products, process transactions, and handle any issues or complaints that may arise. The brick and mortar customer service representative will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the store, restocking shelves, and assisting with inventory management. The Customer Service Lead will also plan and execute shop events alongside Creative Leads and Assistants. They should have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a friendly and helpful demeanor. They will work with a team in managing and marketing in release and collaborations. Previous customer service experience is preferred for this role. Must have passion for creativity and be skilled in knitting and/or crochet.
Responsibilities
- Provide excellent customer service to customers who visit the physical store location and online website or social media.
- Assist customers with their inquiries, help them find products, process transactions, and handle any issues or complaints that may arise. This will be done through e-mail, virtual shopping, and in-person.
- Involved in upcoming releases, collaborations and products depending on the event.
- Assist customers with knitting, crochet or other fiber arts inquiries and support.
- Customer Service Support for Gift Cards and Reward Tokens.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the store, restock shelves, and assist with inventory management in partnership with Shipping and E-Commerce Leads.
- With the FDF branding and aesthetics, creatively manage display inventory for the most optimal shopping experience.
- With creative support from creative team, create and manage In-Store events
- Work with the creative team and designers on coordinating shop samples by sending yarn out to sample knitters, managing the sample knit, and giving credit to sample knitters.
- Use Notion and Slack as Team Collaboration and Communication Tools
- Be willing and open to help out in the shipping department during times of high order levels.
Qualifications and Skills
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- Must know how about yarn and the fiber arts industry
- Needs a passion for creativity and knitting
- Previous customer service experience is preferred for this role.
- Strong technology skills preferably in e-commerce, zoom, notion and slack.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Be able to handle tough customer interactions in a positive and clear way
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Willingness to take ownership in work and be creative when expanding systems
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
