A Customer Success Manager is a dynamic role in the renewable energy industry, responsible for overseeing and managing solar energy projects from conception to completion (and after as necessary). This role combines technical expertise, project management/customer service skills, and a deep understanding of renewable energy systems.
Job Summary:
A Customer Success Manager is responsible for pushing projects through to completion while keeping customers and sales representatives informed during each step of the process. They coordinate and lead meetings with sales organizations, manage project timelines, and ensure compliance with quality standards. The role involves both technical and managerial responsibilities.
Customer Success Managers also handle customer needs after completion, should any questions/issues arise.
Key Responsibilities:
● Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
● Follow daily/weekly agenda to ensure task completion and the project continues moving
forward.
● Address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction. (answer phone/emails/texts
within 24 hrs)
● Examine project plans to ensure they correspond with financing and customer requests.
(do the plans match/do we have active financing and match customer requests?)
● Identify project objectives, milestones, and deliverables. (target days in status goals)
● Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies. (Proactive not reactive. Catch
mistakes before they happen)
● Generate project status reports. (weekly sales reports)
● Coordinate with maintenance teams for ongoing system monitoring and maintenance.

● Address warranty claims, rebate questions, and system performance issues post PTO.
(entering service requests and triaging rebate/service calls)

Previous experience in solar project management a plus or experience in construction industry helpful.
