Job Objective:

The Success Coach will work to provide support and solutions to under-resourced employees to resolve challenges that can affect absenteeism and job loss. The Success Coach will provide information and opportunities to employees to help them reach their full potential of abundant living. The Success Coach reports to the Divisional Director of WeConnect who evaluates job performance annually.

Essential Job Functions:

• Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.
• Responsible for responding to all requests for assistance within two business days.
• Provides success coaching to employees to help minimize future challenges.
• Provides coaching and knowledge to Human Resource staff and on-site supervisors to better understand the needs of their workforce.
• Documents participation of employees the Success Coach is working with in the WeConnect program.
• Maintains confidential data base of employee interactions and employee assistance in the program.
• Evaluates the Success Coach program at each organization according to established metrics.
• Is available to employees via on-site presence as well as via telephone, email, and virtual connections.
• Maintains professional boundaries with those being served.
• Connects and collaborates with community resources to provide the best solutions to current or future challenges.
• Develops and maintains strong partnerships with community agencies and businesses.
• Has the ability to adapt to the work environment and expectations of each organization they serve.
• Presents opportunities to the Director for WeConnect organizations to collaborate with other programs at Goodwill.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to engage with others.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Ability to relate to, understand and be creative in meeting the needs of individuals who are under-resourced.
• Ability to function under pressure, be self-directed and responsible for carrying out job related activities with minimal supervision.
• Ability to use discretion and sound judgment and deviate from established policies and procedures when appropriate depending upon need.
• Ability to adjust to a flexible schedule based on a 40-hour work week.
• Ability to communicate verbally and hear clearly with or without assistance.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must have reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and provide proof of insurance to travel to different job sites.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• A bachelor’s degree is required.
