We are a classic and custom auto body and paint shop in Camarillo. Our shop is clean, well organized and efficient.

We are looking for a qualified and skilled Auto Paint Prepper who has at least 2 years experience with paint preparation and the ability to work at the absolute highest standards on high end classic vehicles.. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, filing, grinding, masking, prepping, and sanding to precise standards. Qualified individuals should be able to work well in a team environment, follow directions to meet deadlines and take pride in their work.

Qualifications: **Resume Required**

Essential Functions :

• Preps vehicles for paint application and ensures quality assurance to precise standards
• Properly fills depressions with body filler and ensures a quality repair
• Carefully and accurately masks any areas that are not meant to be painted
• Works with Painter to ensure production demands meets the specified production schedule
• Ensures workflow is tracked and on time
• Reports any issues, delays, and all non-conformances in production line to Painter and ensure correction in a timely manner
• Reports any material shortage/part defect to Supervisor
• Uses hammers/dollies to fix minor metalwork
• Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools
• Maintains proper care and organization of tools and equipment for minimum painting downtime
• Follows proper operating rules, procedures, and standardized workflow
• Works well in a team environment to ensure productivity and to meet deadlines
• Maintains a clean and productive work environment by keeping tools and supplies organized throughout the Paint Department
• Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrates the ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work environment
• Assists other team members as necessary
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Experience using various hand and power tools and equipment
• Must possesses high attention to detail, adhere to high standards, and work well in a dedicated team environment
• Must possess a growth mindset approach to learning and be able to accept constructive feedback
• Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to multiple deadlines

Competitive Salary based on real experience (Starting from $22/hr)
M-F Full-Time w/Weekend Availability

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
