Job Overview
This position reports to the Network Infrastructure Manager. This role requires someone who is enthusiastic about educating and assisting our credit union co-workers with our support. The Cyber Security Analyst I scope of responsibilities include the involvement in the information security management at the organization level. Ensuring that necessary safeguards are present, operational, and effective. Discretion and sound judgment are expected. Assist in evaluating and maintaining security around performance, collaborating with the IT Team and Raiz staff to increase and monitor the network security posture. Success factors will be driven by basic knowledge of networking technologies and experience in a similar role, supporting stable, fast, and secure exchange of company information with key IT leadership and/or other functional leadership from the Credit Union.

Qualifications
Cyber Security Analyst I- Skills and Experience
- Education - Associates degree in computer science, programming, information technology, engineering, or network security.
- Certification(s) – CompTIA Security , CISM or CISA certification.
- Minimum of 12 months working in Cyber Security IT field. Must be interested developing skills and willing to work in the IT security field.
- A good understanding of Credit Union output requirements along with basic problem-solving skills are critical to the successful execution of this position.
- Requires technical information security understanding and basic knowledge of how Information Security solutions works.
- Ability to quickly analyze information and situations to determine the best course of action to protect the credit union and its members.
- Basic Computer security: This includes basic knowledge of firewalls, routers, and other security infrastructure, as well as a basic understanding of risk management frameworks. Understand how ethical hacking or penetration testing works.
- Privacy laws: basic knowledge in data privacy laws in Financial environment.
- Strong customer service skills with willingness to assist others
- Must have excellent communication skills, particularly when communicating complex information.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to coordinate with IT and other departments and personnel.
- Ability to operate network server, and other business equipment.
Cybersecurity Analyst II-Skills and Experience
- Education - Associates degree in computer science, programming, information technology, engineering, or network security.
- Certification(s) – CISM, CISA, CEH, CCSP or CISSP
- Minimum of three (3) year of demonstrated experience in the Cyber Security field
- A good understanding of Credit Union output requirements along with good problem-solving skills are critical to the successful execution of this position.
- Ability to quickly analyze information and situations to determine the best course of action to protect the credit union and its members.

Cyber Security Analyst I- Role Description and Primary Duties
- Cyber Security: Involved in planning, designing and implementing security solutions. Proactively monitor and review security, backup and recovery logs and incidents. Report incidents appropriately and in a timely fashion any critical security risk to department cyber security leads. Review systems configuration and user account permissions in different systems to meet security standards and best practices. Monitor and report on new updates, enhancements for security systems, network security alerts in devices including firewalls, anti-virus systems, backup systems, authentication systems and all routine operating security systems. Participate in the development of the organizations cyber security budget and the implementation of approved budget items. Follow policies and procedures for all related security systems.
- Duties: Monitor organization’s networks for security breaches, investigate and report to lead or administrators to resolve breach when one occur. Use and maintain software, such as firewalls and data encryption programs, to protect sensitive information. Check and monitor for vulnerabilities in computer and network systems. Research the latest information technology (IT) security trends. Help gather data to prepare reports that document general metrics, attempted attacks, and security breaches. Follow security standards and best practices for their organization. Recommend security enhancements to lead or administrator. Help plan and prepare procedures and training for end-users on new security processes and procedures. Assist in developing, implementing and testing credit union’s disaster recovery plan and Incident response plan.
- Business Partnerships: Proactively engage in interdepartmental collaboration to enhance security processes. Maintain good external relations with vendors and community partners.
- Security Risk Mitigation: Assist with network security enhancements, as well as network processes and infrastructure documentation. Work with security vendors and ensure applicable network security measures are implemented. Helps in data for planning and coordination of organization wide deployment of security updates and upgrades to ensure all applications are secured and up to date with hotfixes and patches to mitigate any security risk.
- Complies with all Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) rules and regulations, in addition to Customer Identification Program (CIP). Attends required annual BSA training and required compliance training.
