Data Architect designs and builds databases for data storage or processing. Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery. Being a Data Architect builds data models and defines the structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements. May evaluate new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration. Additionally, Data Architect requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Data Architect work is closely managed. Works on projects/matters of limited complexity in a support role. - Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
- Some lifting is required (20-40 lbs.)
- Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware
- Basic understanding of databases
- Great attention to detail
- High school degree or equivalent
- Must be able to receive the required government clearance (must be US citizen, have clean background and credit history)
