Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. The Data Exchange COE Leader is a key member of the Health & Welfare (HW) Platform Migrations team that services Fidelity clients. The role provides for the ability to work in a growing Health & Welfare offering, access to scalable technology while continually enhancing your knowledge of the Health & Welfare benefits administration landscape.
The Director- Center of Excellence – Strategic Client Data will utilize their organizational, managerial, and project manager skills to ensure the best outcomes for our client, their participants and Fidelity.
The Expertise and Skills We’re Looking For
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in benefits administration
8-10 years interacting with client data and data exchange files
6-8 years of Health and Welfare benefits service experience
6-8 years working with Health Care vendor and carriers
Knowledge of benefits administration B2B data exchange with carriers, payroll providers, and other benefit providers
Familiarity with industry data exchange standards, such as ANSI, LDEx, .xml, etc.; experience with API-based data exchange is a plus
Proactive data management with a focus on straight through processing
Data analytics and analysis with a focus on data transformation and files client feed remediation for straight through processing.
Process control enhancements and reporting improvements.
Structure large data sets to find usable information
Proven ability to manage a team of analysts responsible for data exchange solution delivery with team members to collect and analyze data
Ability to collaborate with vendor partners and influence vendors to align with data exchange standards
Align, plan, and execute new product capability delivery within flight implementations
Drive and / or support execution of key implementation activities (example: data exchange with client’s external benefit providers).
Oversee validation and/or testing efforts to ensure results meet the client and/or product offering requirements
Performing root cause analysis to determine gaps or trends for continuous improvement opportunities
Performing analysis and documenting requirements for clients’ outbound data exchange solutions, and translating requirements to technology partners
Creating training material and reference material for participant services
Assisting and coaching the broader virtual team
Engaging in and/or leading ongoing courses to support continued personal development
