Data Center Director directs and optimizes all operations of a data center facility to ensure data performance, availability, and security. Designs operating procedures and policies for installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and storage systems within a data center to maximize operational efficiency. Being a Data Center Director monitors environmental conditions to ensure optimal temperature, humidity, and power supply to prevent downtime and protect hardware from damage. Ensures timely, accurate, and consistent technical infrastructure service and presentation to internal and external clients. Additionally, Data Center Director coordinates with outside teams to identify and implement new systems to support existing and future business needs. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Data Center Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Director will develop and implement strategic and tactical plans for donor recruitment and blood collections in the donor center and community-based activities; direct, develop and coach teams for achievement of established goals and KPI’s; develop relationships with community leaders and groups to promote our mission and business needs; ensure operations adhere to standards and regulations governing the blood banking industry; and model LifeShare’s mission and values, integrating them into daily decisions, behaviors and actions

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in healthcare administration, business or operations management, including supervisory experience in the direction and coaching of other employees.
