Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented deputy court clerk to join our team. The deputy clerk, under the general direction of the Clerk of District Court, performs a variety of clerical procedures in trial court operations relating to the preparation and processing of court cases, maintaining the court record, and assisting with legal proceedings.
Duties:
- Assist the clerk, judges and attorneys in courtrooms during trials and hearings
- Prepare and process legal documents for criminal, domestic, civil, and probate cases
- Maintain accurate records of court proceedings and case files
- Distribute judicial orders; prepare and route copies; certify orders; and maintain payment schedules
- Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence related to court cases
- Perform clerical tasks such as data entry, reviewing, retrieving, filing, and organizing documents
- Interact with the public to provide information on court procedures and policies
