We are recruiting for candidates who will serve as Senior Consultants – Data Migration Lead for our Data Migration team.
After completing our client’s software selection, we assist them with performing their client-side implementation tasks. During this phase of work, our Data Migration team will assist with migrating our client’s data from their old system to their new system. This role requires previous Data Migration experience, preferably with ERP systems.
You will never get bored in this role because we work across many source and target applications and many different types of clients, so you will never get pigeon-holed into one mundane job!
Requirements
The Senior Consultant – Data Migration Lead includes the following job duties:
- Liaison with our Data Migration Technical Specialists and clients’ technical, functional, and executive staff.
- Work with clients to gain access to their source data systems.
- Understand basic database schemas of our client’s legacy software applications.
- Identify the overall state of the dataset.
- Consult on how to map between extracted source data and target file formats.
- Determine effort required to clean, extract, transform, and load data records.
- Communicate status to client’s internal project team.
- Perform quality review of Data Migration Technical Specialists import files.
- Upload the transformed data into our client’s new ERP.
- Work with clients to validate the data loads.
- Perform multiple “Data Rehearsals” with the full data set to flush out configuration problems well before go-live.
- Create technical documentation for all steps required for data migration efforts.
- Support go-live effort including evenings and weekends.
- Additionally, you may provide oversight to client technical staff‘s integration build-out between their new ERP and related systems.
Data Migration Senior Consultant Requirements
- Experience with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics 365, Infor, QuickBooks, custom systems, etc.
- Technical data migration experience with the following:
- Enterprise software database schemas
- Application forms and GUIs
- Business logic and data manipulation
- Business data such as:
- BOMs
- Projects
- Trial Balances
- Open Financial transactions
- Customer, Opportunities, and Contacts
- Experience with SQL.
- Proven ability to communicate with functional business users and technical database administrators.
- Presentation skills to executives.
- Willing to use a Mac and able to quickly get up to speed on the Mac OS.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, IT, Accounting, CIS, MIS, or equivalent.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Move, think, and act fast - document prep, speaking, typing, using software applications, responding to clients, and internal staff.
