    We are seeking a skilled Data Modeler with a strong background in the investment management industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling within Snowflake, helping to design, build, and maintain efficient, scalable data models that support our data-driven decision-making processes.     Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, and maintain complex data models in Snowflake that align with business requirements and industry best practices.
    • Utilize industry-specific knowledge to create data models that support various functions within the investment management space, such as portfolio management, risk analysis, and trading systems.
    • Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into effective data models, and ensure alignment with business goals.
    • Implement and optimize data models to ensure efficient data retrieval, storage, and processing, minimizing latency and maximizing query performance.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, including definitions, relationships, and business rules, to support transparency and knowledge sharing across teams.
    • Ensure data models adhere to data governance standards, including data quality, consistency, and security.
    • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in data modeling and Snowflake, and proactively suggest improvements to existing models and processes.

    Qualifications

    • Strong as a Data Modeler within the investment management industry.
    • Proven experience with data modeling in Snowflake.
    • Strong understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, normalization).
    • Proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL processes.
    • Familiarity with cloud-based data warehousing solutions, particularly Snowflake.
    • Deep understanding of the investment management domain, including portfolio management, trading, risk, and compliance.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data requirements and design optimal data models.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
    • Experience with other data modeling tools and platforms is preferred.
    • Certifications in Snowflake or data modeling are a plus.
