The Data Modeler manages the flow of information between departments through the use of relational databases. Develops data models to meet the needs of the organization's information systems. Being a Data Modeler stays informed of the ways the organization uses its data. Maintains data integrity by working to eliminate redundancy. In addition, Data Modeler requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Being a Data Modeler gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Responsibilities:
- Create accurate and detailed 3D models of building systems to produce building construction documents using software such as Autodesk Revit.
- Design or assist with design of mechanical and plumbing systems for both new and renovated commercial buildings.
- Make equipment selections and system sizing per design calculations.
- Apply various building codes to meet city, state, and national construction requirements.
- Work independently while partnering with and receiving direction and guidance from our Professional Mechanical Engineers.
- Assist in the coordination of design changes and updates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Maintain accurate records of project data, revisions, and updates.
Skills:
- Proficiency in modeling/CADD drafting design techniques.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve design issues.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices.
