Data Security Supervisor supervises professionals in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standards and systems that will ensure secure information systems and data. Implements standards and audit procedures to identify and resolve security violations. Being a Data Security Supervisor conducts disaster recovery and cyberattack preparation and training. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Data Security Supervisor typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Data Security Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Job Description:
The Security Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Security Department on an assigned shift, in accordance with the Properties established policies, procedures and controls.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma and/or GED preferred
Minimum of two years experience in law enforcement or security gaming required. Supervisory experience is required.
Additional Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must provide a DMV printout.
Excellent communication skills required.
Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, maintenance instructions and other related documents.
Ability to write effective reports and memos.
Ability to respond to inquiries from team members and guests.
Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one, small group and large group situations.
Ability to think creatively and work with supervisors, peers and other subordinates on a team approach to solve problems which cross departmental boundaries.
Must be flexible and able to work any shift, day off and weekends.
Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
Skilled in operating a personal computer and related software including Microsoft Office Suite, proprietary programs and any other computer programs or devices as may become necessary.
Must be willing and able to engage in physical activity on all levels up to and including physical confrontations.
The ability to remain calm during adverse situations.
Ability to use personal protective equipment.
Ability to deal with inebriated customers in a courteous manner.
Respond to common inquiries and/or complaints from guests.
Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.
