Position Title: Warehouse Specialist

Position Overview:

SPN Solutions Inc. is currently seeking an experienced Warehouse Specialist for our Department of Defense contract located in Charleston, South Carolina. This role entails performing various warehouse duties including inventory management, staging, packing, storage, and shipping of electronic equipment and related materials. The Warehouse Specialist will be required to operate motor vehicles and material handling equipment and utilize a computer-based inventory and barcoding system for the identification, entry, and tracking of materials.

Key Requirements:

Education: High School diploma or GED.

Experience: Two (2) years of warehouse experience which includes:

• Inventory management: The candidate should be adept at tracking and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring that stocks are appropriately organized and recorded.
• Staging, packing, and storage: This involves preparing items for shipment, properly packing items to prevent damage during transport, and organizing items within the warehouse for optimal storage.
• Shipping: The candidate should have experience with coordinating and managing the shipment of goods, ensuring they reach their destination safely and promptly.
• Operating motor vehicles and material handling equipment: The candidate should be capable of safely operating warehouse vehicles and equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Utilizing a computer-based inventory and barcoding system: The Warehouse Specialist should have experience with digital inventory systems, including barcoding, for accurate tracking and management of warehouse stock. This includes entering, identifying, and tracking materials.

Desirable Skills and Qualities:

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently. The ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills are required to effectively address any issues that may arise in the warehouse operations. Good interpersonal and communication skills are also important as the role involves interaction with various stakeholders within and outside the company.
