Day Care Center Teacher oversees the educational activities within the day care classroom. Structures the curriculum and monitors students' progress to ensure activities are meeting the children's needs. Being a Day Care Center Teacher maintains a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. Holds conferences with parents to discuss child's growth and development. Additionally, Day Care Center Teacher typically requires an associate degree. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. This can be a full time or part time position. Hours may vary and we can be flexible with school schedules. We are open Monday - Friday and closed on major holidays.
Experience is preferred but not required. Love for children is a must! The right candidate will be required to pass a series of background checks including fingerprints. The individual will also need to obtain their First Aid and CPR certification as well as complete training hours within specific timeframes. Pay is DOE.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing quality care to children of different ages: infants & up
Maintaining a clean and safe environment at all times
Interacting in a positive, caring manner with children
Help children learn to foster independence as well as the five key areas of development: gross motor skills, fine motor skills, literacy, cognitive skills and social and emotional skills
Positively and effectively communicating with parents/guardians at drop off and pick up times
Lesson planning for activities and projects
