Day Care Center Teacher oversees the educational activities within the day care classroom. Structures the curriculum and monitors students' progress to ensure activities are meeting the children's needs. Being a Day Care Center Teacher maintains a clean, safe, and nurturing environment. Job Summary:
This is a part time position. We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Teacher to join our team and close the Center in the afternoon/evening. Hours would be from 3:00PM to 6:00PM, Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:
-Oversee remaining staff and children until all are picked up.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive environment
-Speak with parents that are picking up regarding the children's day according to the notes left by the Lead Teacher.
-Lock up the Center making sure closing duties are completed.
-Contact Executive Director or CFO acknowledging all children are picked up, and staff are leaving for the night.
Experience:
- At minimum an Associates Degree with qualifying credits
- Previous experience working with students in a teaching capacity
- Knowledge of childhood development principles
- Familiarity with physical education activities
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively manage classroom dynamics
- Experience working with diverse student populations, including special education students
- Understanding of best practices in daycare settings
