As a Dealer Relationship Manager (DRM) your responsibilities will include motivating auto retailers, extensive travel, regular meetings, training, maintaining relationships, and managing expenses.  This is a work from home role, however, you will travel extensively (80%) within the assigned territory (Northern Ohio in addition to 1 retailer in Southwestern NY and 3 in Western PA).  Travel to include periodic joint visits with Credit, Chase Auto and Commercial services colleagues as well as Subaru Motor Finance (SMF) and Subaru of American management.  You will motivate new and existing auto retailers to use Subaru Motor Finance.  You will be expected to meet with Owners and GMs on 80% of visits per month and 100% on a quarterly basis. Outside of retailer network, DRMs are expected to have regular contact with key members of the Subaru of America zone offices whether through joint visits at retailers and/or through meetings with Zone office to discuss current initiatives. 

Job responsibilities

• Support retailers to develop retailer profitability, maximize various available finance programs, manage customer loyalty particularly on lease, and train retailer personnel as needed. 
• Train retailers on contracts/worksheets; lease training for sales team, inform retailers of policy, procedures and pricing changes and assist retailers correct contract errors.
• Train and educate retailers on the remarketing program to help mitigate loss and create brand loyalty; along with handling all customer service issues and end of term questions that stem from the remarketing process of vehicle lease portfolio. 
• Maintain strong relationships and regular communication with Route One and DealerTrack to promote eContracting growth and push retailer signup and consistent usage. 
• Work with and coordinate efforts to align with Subaru Retailer and Zone Management counterparts in achieving both SMF National / Regional and Subaru of America Corporate objectives. 
• Foster a strong relationship and have great communication with credit teams and with any assigned underwriters.
• Manage expenses within guidelines and maximize monthly budget while still maintaining good expense discipline.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Underwriting experience within the auto finance industry.
• Demonstrated people management skill an ability to influence.
• Knowledge of indirect auto finance industry.
• Excellent sales presentation skills to motivate new clients to use services and product 
• Thorough knowledge of indirect finance products (retail/lease).

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Sales experience managing large sales territory with in-depth and meaningful meetings 
• One year Consumer credit experience
• Financial statements analysis and Commercial experience 
• PC Skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Microsoft Word) and excellent verbal and written communication skills
